With more than 15 years of experience in telecom and hospitality industry in leadership roles in operations, product management & commerce, Valerie likes working in a complex and result driven environment where not one day is the same.
Raised as an expat child around the world and educated in Switzerland and Belgium she’s now living in the Netherlands working for the largest Dutch telecom company, KPN. Her upbringing has shaped her into a flexible leader who understands differences and knows how to connect and unite people to become a team with the same goal.
At KPN she was trained in Prince2, Agile product owner and Lean SixSigma to enable her to lead complex programs and projects while working on becoming a leaner and meaner telco of the future.
She is proven to be a result driven manager who strives on ambition, builds teams that deliver and create continuous learning. She believes in autonomous teams with clear KPI’s, a data driven mindset, a healthy competitive culture and a foundation of trust. She is a fast learner and reaches her goals using her unstoppable energy, excellent communication skills and a touch of humor.
With a passion for teaching the younger generation Valerie will help the SSHE students to gain solid understanding of project management, planning, stakeholder management, Agile, governance and building a strong (project)team. She will guide them through theory and by a lot of practical examples lead them to thoughtful application of the acquired skills.
