Are private institutions state recognized in Switzerland?

A question that comes to mind of many students, that are thinking about joining private institution. The current reality is the following: private universities, that do not hold specific state accreditation cannot be fully recognized by the government and their diplomas are not of the state standard. However, that does not mean, that a person cannot get a job inside Switzerland after graduation in any commercial university. Diplomas from respectable private universities are accepted almost everywhere in Swiss Companies, but any government working positions or continuation of your post-graduate studies in public university may require from you to have a state-recognized degree.
